Thank you and bye

Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu's death is a sudden shock especially to all Penangites. Although he was no longer the Chief Minister of Penang when I was born and first opened my eyes in Penang, I can feel that his legacy in Penang will certainly last forever.

This is the man who had transformed Penang into what we see today: KOMTAR, Penang Bridge and the Free Trade Zone. He was such a far-sighted and adaptive leader because he managed to 'save' Penang from a plunge when Penang's Free Port status was withdrawn. In short, I would say without him, Penang won't be so developed today.

Although I do not know you in person,
But I know your effort and contribution,
that's enough to make all Penangites remember you,
with this, I pay you my last respect...
RIP Tun Dr. Lim.
